Daryl Williams is the Senior Director New Product Introduction (NPI) and Technology Infrastructure for GE Appliances (GEA), a Haier company, headquartered in Louisville, Ky. In this role, Daryl ensures rapid and robust execution of GE Appliance’s key strategic reinvestment in developing leadership products and manufacturing excellence for the appliance business. He also has responsibility for a 100-plus person organization, managing more than 80 R&D laboratories (~4 million sq. ft) including Environmental Health and Safety, GE Appliances Rapid Prototyping Centers and 3D Scanning facilities.
Daryl began his career at General Electric in 1997 as an intern working as a Senior Chemist in the Materials Application and Processes group. His next assignment was as a Black Belt on the Arctica side-by-side refrigerator program. In 1999, he was promoted to 6 Sigma Master Black Belt for the Small Top-Freezer Energy Program. In 2001, Daryl became Systems Manager for the Ice & Water Subsystem within the refrigeration product line. In 2003, Daryl became the NPI (New Product Introduction) manager for GE Lighting with responsibility for all NPI program execution. From 2005 until 2012, Daryl served as Engineering Manager for Global Products, which includes GE’s microwave oven and room air conditioning products.
