She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Sociology from Cornell University and is passionate about connecting scientific research with design practice to enhance the way people experience built environments.
Throughout her career, Ana has held positions in specification, sales, and business development within the surfaces industry, developing a comprehensive understanding of material performance, product selection, and industry trends. She currently serves as Membership Chair for the NKBA South Florida Chapter, where she supports professional engagement and industry collaboration.
Ana’s interdisciplinary background enables her to examine the relationship between materials, human behavior, and perception, bringing a unique perspective to conversations about design and wellness. She is particularly interested in how insights from biology, neuroscience, and environmental psychology can inform more intentional, human-centered design decisions.
As a previous KBIS Voices from the Industry speaker and a 2026 VFTI panelist, Ana is committed to education and knowledge sharing. She enjoys translating complex research into practical, actionable strategies that help design professionals create spaces that are not only functional and beautiful, but also supportive of human well-being and everyday experience.
