Unique sloped sink base design creates valuable organized space under the kitchen sink
Irvine, CA – One of the most difficult places to create more storage and organization is under the kitchen sink. Often, this area is a mish-mash of cleaning products and trash bags, alongside water pipes and a garbage disposal. “The design of the Culinario Sink is 40-years in the making and takes four decades of industry knowledge between my father, Ken Rohl and his friend and colleague, Kelly Stewart, who designed the Culiario and combined it with Italian engineering and craft in stainless steel to create this “ultimate” solution,” said Greg Rohl, VP of Marketing, ROHL.
The uniquely sloped sink floor adds ergonomic functionality and more efficient use of space to put two 35-quart bins under the sink – one for trash and one for recycling. It also allows for a dedicated plumbing cabinet, with ample room to organize cleaning supplies. And, with the double bowl option, there is room to add custom drawers to hold dishtowels, linens, plastic wrap, spices or cutlery.
The Culinario Sink was designed by a kitchen designer for kitchen designers, it can be installed over standard domestic and European standard cabinet construction – no special cabinets or custom work required. It also provides design flexibility to kitchen layouts, especially in corners and islands with effective use of space below sink.
Constructed of commercial .16 gauge stainless steel, this is a hardworking, yet stylish kitchen sink. The sink is made with proprietary insulating “quite coat” technology, that reduces “splash back” sound, as wells as muffles the sound made from heavy pots and pans hitting against the sink walls. The zero edge side walls and a rounded bottom edge radius make the sink extremely easy to clean
