OwnerDT Glass, Inc.Shannon and Michael McKinney own DT Glass, specializing in residential interior glass such as frameless glass showers, mirrors, wine rooms, backpainted glass, and other glass for the home. They have the distinction of being the only glass shop in the Pacific Northwest to fabricate and temper the glass they install. Since 1997, DT Glass is proud to be the largest frameless glass provider in the Portland Oregon market.
Shannon has a background in consulting and enjoys sharing her passion for glass with her customers and peers. She worked as part of the National Glass Association team to create a training manual and online course for glass professionals, and has written The Shower Glass Playbook for the broad audience of architects, designers, contractors, and homeowners. You’ll find her presenting glass topics at the local college design programs, NKBA chapter meetings, private group lessons, and anywhere there is a desire to create beautiful, safe, and functional glass enclosures.
Michael niched his building and remodeling experience into everything glass. He’s steadfast in his commitment to working within the engineering bounds of heavy glass, and building systems that last. Most days you’ll find him tinkering with the machines in the fabrication plant or building the tools that make production flow.
Together, Mike and Shannon are proud to be part of the community of historic Oregon City where they have their business, their home, and raised their 22-year-old son, Nick.
