President and FounderLiving In Place InstituteLouie is passionate about helping a wide range of professionals make their clients’ homes accessible, healthy, safe, secure, and functional, creating beautiful, connected environments that improve lives and promote independence and dignity, for all ages and abilities. Louie is a national safety expert for TV news and radio programs, along with many magazines and newspapers.
As the founder of the Living In Place Institute, he has been at the forefront of creating the principles that takes aging in place and universal design to a new level of understanding and acceptance.
In December 2021, the Marshall Wildfire destroyed his home. As a result of this and other key CMKBDs and other design professionals, he and his wife created a Forever Living In Place home. As result of this and the experiences he had with the rebuild, Louie has helped many people not only locally but elsewhere who have experienced a disaster.
Louie is also a Member of the Editorial Advisory Board for the Kitchen + Bath Business Magazine and is a Kitchen & Bath Design News Magazine Innovator.
