With more than 40 years of experience in the home building and design industries, Jillian is the Founder/CEO of Wellness Within Your Walls. Through WWYW she has gathered and analyzed health and wellness data about building materials, products and systems for 20 years. Jillian guided the evolution of WWYW's ground-breaking education and certification programs designed to reduce toxins in living environments and identify sustainable, durable and technologically-advanced materials, products and systems. WWYW's residential certification and self-assessments outline healthier construction techniques and materials, as well as design/build practices. The protocols also include occupant behavioral strategies to ensure sustained wellness. WWYW was the recipient of the NAHB's Global Innovation Award for Education in 2017.
Jillian is a much sought-after speaker and board and committee member within the design/build industries, including NAHB, ASID, NKBA and SFC. In particular, Jillian has been a leader at NAHB, spearheading initiatives with the Global Opportunities Board, the Sustainable and Green subcommittee and as Chair of the Healthier Homes and Communities subcommittee. Jillian has participated on an NAHB Consensus Committee Task Group, which is advising on proposed changes to NGBS. Jillian was the recipient of NAHB's Best of American Living Awards - Hall of Fame and the Invisible Disabilities Association's Healthy Living Award, both in 2018.
