Since 1997, David has managed a boutique law practice focused on helping interior designers, showrooms, and furniture manufacturers navigate legal challenges in the areas of Contracts, Corporations/LLCs, Trademark, Copyright, Marketing & Advertising and Social Media. From the first creative thought to the final installation, David has the experience to help clients bring creative projects to life.
David has been peer-designated as an Illinois Leading Lawyer since 2016 and an Illinois SuperLawyer® since 2012. David writes articles for State Bar journals and the ABA’s SciTech newsletter, and its IP Section magazine. David is licensed in Illinois and New York, a member of the Illinois State Bar, Federal General Bar and Federal Trial Bar, and admitted in the Northern District of Illinois and Southern District of New York. David received a double BA in English and History from Indiana University in 1994 and his law degree from DePaul University College of Law in 1997. Outside law, David taught Music Law at DePaul College of Law, Arts & Entertainment Law at Columbia College Chicago, and formerly chaired the Chicago Bar Association's Media & Entertainment Law Committee.
