NKBA to Shine Spotlight on Best Kitchen and Bath Showrooms

Nominations Open for 2021 Innovative Showroom Awards

Updated categories for 2021 include virtual experience.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — (Sept. 23, 2020) — The National Kitchen & Bath Association,the North American authority on all things residential kitchen and bath, is accepting nominations for the 2021 NKBA Innovative Showroom Awards. These annual honors recognize the most creative, innovative and experiential showrooms in the kitchen and bath industry.

“This year, our industry’s showrooms were forced to rethink their business strategies and how to engage with their clients. So many of them stepped up to the challenge and designed new virtual showroom experiences, provided ‘curbside’ concierge service and hosted more video consultations and demonstrations than they care to count,” said Suzie Williford, EVP and Chief Strategy Officer of NKBA. “We want to make sure they receive the recognition they deserve for all of their hard work.”

For 2021, the NKBA has updatedcategories to reflect the current business environment, including one that honors those businesses outside traditional brick-and-mortar locations, such as pop-ups, mobile and virtual showrooms. The four remaining award categories include kitchen and bath design centers, traditional multi-product/multi-brand showrooms and brand experience centers.

The 2021 NKBA Innovative Showroom Award categories include:

  • Kitchen & Bath Design Centers: 3 winners

o   Small: under 2,500 square feet

o   Medium: 2,500 – 5,000 square feet

o   Large: 5,000+ square feet

  • Traditional Independent Multi-brand/multi-product showroom: 3 winners

o   Small: under 2,500 square feet

o   Medium: 2,500 – 5,000 square feet

o   Large: 5,000+ square feet

  • Multi-Location Multi-brand/multi-product showroom: 2 winners

o   Medium: 2,500 – 5,000 square feet

o   Large: 5,000+ square feet

  • Brand-Specific Non-selling Experience Centers: 1 winner
  • Unique Showroom Application (pop-up, mobile, virtual): 1 winner

The deadline to enter is Nov. 9. Entry forms and a complete list of requirements can be found here on NKBA.org. Winners will be announced at KBIS 2021 as part of the NKBA Kitchen & Bath Design + Industry Awards Show.
