New Format for KBIS 2019: Ten brands. One
day.
(Alpharetta, Ga.) – October 16, 2018 – DesignBites, the high-energy “speed dating for brands” program showcasing
the latest innovations and coolest designs at the 2019 Kitchen &
Bath Industry Show (KBIS), is
open for submissions. The show favorite moves to an action-packed, one-day format
when KBIS returns to the Las Vegas Convention Center, February 19 – 21, 2019,
and gives exhibitors, big or small, the opportunity to share their message in a
refreshing, entertaining way.
DesignBites
heads to the KBISNeXT Stage on February 20, 12:00 PM – 1:15 PM, with 10 kitchen
and bath brands each displaying one of their most innovative products in a
3-minute presentation to the attendee and media audience, followed by a
two-minute Q&A. At the end of five minutes, the next brand is introduced.
“The
new one-day format makes DesignBites, one of our most fun and informative KBIS
programs, even more exciting. Ten brands telling their product stories in a single
fast-paced session is sure to be a big draw for attendees and media alike,”
said Brian Pagel, senior vice president, Emerald Expositions.
To
participate in DesignBites, brands must be KBIS 2019 exhibitors. A judging
panel of industry influencers will review all applications and select 10 brands
based on product innovation and uniqueness, quality of application, suitability
for the 3-minute format, and design interest.
Exhibiting
brands can apply now through November
30, 2018 by completing the DesignBites
Application.
Selected
DesignBites participants are promoted pre-show via KBIS social platforms, a press
release, and brand announcements; and during the show via live social coverage,
including Facebook Live and Instagram Stories.
After the show, all participating brands receive an edited video of their stage presentations, in-depth social
coverage and promoted videos on the KBIS YouTube channel. DesignBites
participants also receive access to the program attendee list, a media attendee
list (names only) and distribution of press kit/information to attending media
immediately following the stage session.

is an inspiring, interactive platform that showcases the latest industry
products, trends and technologies. KBIS is the voice of the kitchen and bath
industry and has been for 50+ years.
Early in 2013, the National Kitchen & Bath
Association (NKBA) and National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) announced
an agreement to co-locate the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) with the
International Builders’ Show (IBS) in Las Vegas, Nev. in February 2014 under
the banner of Design and Construction Week®
and both organizations recently extended the agreement through 2026. The
mega-event returns to Las Vegas Feb. 19 – 21. NKBA and NAHB will continue to
produce separate educational programming and special events though one pass
provides access to both shows.
