DesignBites Returns to KBIS NeXT Stage

Sep 27, 2021

Which brand has the “biggest bite” in the kitchen and bath industry? The Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) is where to find out. Now in its seventh year, DesignBites is the high-energy KBIS NeXT Stage program that showcases unique product innovations and designs.

Design Bites 2022 is now open for submissions.  Billed as “speed dating for brands,” ten exhibitors, large or small, get the opportunity to share their message in a refreshing, entertaining way. Each brand has three-minutes to pitch one of their new and most innovative products. Each presentation is followed by a two-minute Q&A. The 2022 host for DesignBites will be revealed later this year.

“Biggest Bite” Award Returns with a Twist

DesignBites created the “Biggest Bite” Award in 2020, recognizing the brand that has the best combination of presentation, product and innovation. This year, attending media and Designhounds Influencer Network, the leading community of design micro influencers, managed by Modenus Media, will judge in real time to recognize the best presenting brand.  The winner will receive a product feature in KBB Magazine, live social coverage from the KBIS social media team, booth signage and a prize pack to celebrate with their team.

New for 2022: People’s Pick Award

As one of the most well-attended events on the NeXT Stage, this year DesignBites invites the full audience to actively participate by voting for the most entertaining presentation. Votes will be tallied in real time and announced from the Stage after all participating exhibitors have concluded.

DesignBites Application

To participate in DesignBites, brands must be a KBIS exhibitor and apply for consideration. Brands will be chosen based on product innovation and uniqueness, quality of application, suitability for the 3-minute format, and design interest. Exhibiting brands can apply now through November 17, 2021 by completing the DesignBites Application here.

Selected DesignBites participants are promoted pre-show via enhanced activity for 2022, including video interviews and sneak previews, coverage on KBIS social platforms, press releases and brand announcements; and during the show via live social coverage. After the show, all participating brands receive an edited video of their stage presentations, in-depth social coverage, promoted videos and access to the media attendee list (names only).
