Newest Design Motifs, Styles, Finishes and Features Debut at Design & Construction Week

Wood-Mode, the leader in fine custom cabinetry, launched a large and impressive array of products at the 2015 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS). The brand’s design strategy was to emphasize an unexpected mix of design styles through color, materials, finishes and overall aesthetics. Part of Design & Construction Week, KBIS was held in Las Vegas, Jan. 20-22, 2015.

Wood-Mode also showcased traditional, transitional and contemporary designs within its booth. At a separate hospitality reception (an invitation-only event) the brand displayed ten vignettes, with a wide range of new styles, themes and design aesthetics.

Pet Parlor

Household pets are playing an increasingly larger role in home design, and the Wood-Mode Pet Parlor concept space highlights the brand’s commitment to accommodating the needs and desires of these valuable family members. The Pet Parlor blends unique features with human and pet-friendly accessibility. The concept doubles as a laundry or utility room, which gives many of the design details a dual purpose. The result is a thoughtfully designed space that adds both value and convenience.

The Pet Parlor was shown in Presidio Recessed doors with Vintage Dover Cliffs finish. Construction is in maple, with new full-height plywood sides on the hamper unit. Ultimate functionality is realized through dog bowl cut-outs, two-bin trash with lid and apothecary drawers for storing smaller toys and grooming tools.

Wood-Mode also showcased its ongoing partnership with Susquehanna Service Dogs (SSD). Throughout the show, four service dogs from the non-profit organization were at the booth to demonstrate the Pet Parlor lifestyle concept. Through the wildly popular #KBISSelfie program, 275 selfies – 33% of all selfies posted to social media as part of the program – were of showgoers with the pups.

New Products Debut

Wood-Mode introduced a range of new cabinetry options. From traditional to contemporary, these new options combine new finishes with unexpected and hidden features.

Butler’s Bar

Furniture quality finishes and time-honored design elements make Wood-Mode’s traditional cabinetry a classic design option. Alexandria Raised and Recessed are finished in Vintage Putty, and the design features NEW tool-free adjustable rollout shelves, a new walnut cutlery and utensil storage system, NEW 1” wide gothic option, mullions, and NEW walnut deep drawer organizer for wine and container storage.

Floating Storage Unit

A statement-piece entertainment center, this design features a NEW floating cabinet hardware system, in addition to NEW cherry tool-free adjustable rollout shelves.

Coffee Station and Wine Bar

This modern take on a coffee station and wine bar features NEW lateral bi-pass doors, NEW chrome and white pullout pantries, NEW touch-activated drawers, NEW Legrabox drawers, and walnut interiors.

Hospitality Reception Vignettes

Wood-Mode’s KBIS 2015 Hospitality Reception brought together industry professionals to showcase hand-crafted detail, quality craftsmanship and the ultimate level of options in customization that are expected from Wood-Mode. The event allowed designers and media to preview the following:

Toulon

This classic butler’s pantry provides Old World charm with leaded glass and angular detail. The warmth of walnut in NEW Matte Potomac contrasts with a Vintage Silver Pine interiors. Design features include NEW walnut veneer drawer dividers, NEW walnut organization non-tarnishing inserts, NEW stainless rod organizers for drawers, framed glass shelves, tray partitions, and non-tarnishing silver drawer inserts.

Yardley

This classic white kitchen features beveled glass inserts, mullions and a Wainscot back panel with antique mirror. Antique mirror backsplash and a dramatic arch draw the eye and capture attention. Design features include NEW chrome and white storage pantry, NEW tool-free adjustable rollout shelves, NEW walnut cutlery and organizational options, and NEW lateral stainless rod drawer inserts.

Valencia

This NEW door style extends from the Presidio profile with applied molding. A European look that leans toward country living, Valencia is finished in Napa and Vintage Dunes on walnut. This display includes NEW chrome and white interior organizational options, NEW Legrabox stainless steel drawer boxes with white bottoms, NEW birch cutlery and organizational options, and a pullout chopping block.

Vanguard

Mirror Stainless Steel, LED lighting and sliding upper cabinet doors merge in high-rise contemporary flair. NEW Black Bean finish is featured on rough sawn Euro oak veneer. Design features include NEW lateral bi-pass sliding doors, NEW LED lighted shelves and NEW touch-activated drawers.

Morningside

A slightly beveled door frame and angular molding in cherry, Morningside is traditional with a twist. Antique mirrors and leather inserts top off an exotic combination of materials. Design features include NEW leather inserts for door and wainscot panels, NEW antique mirror inserts, NEW cherry drawers, NEW tool-free adjustable roll-out drawers, and NEW cherry veneer removable partitions.

Deer Park

Comprised of two new door styles, Deer Park and Joliet, Deer Park is finished in NEW Vintage Slivered Almond with polished nickel hardware to create a bit of Hollywood glamour. Design features include NEW Wainscot panels with applied molding, NEW tool-free adjustable rollout drawers, NEW floor-mounted interior rollout drawers, and wood drawer obstruction cutouts at the sink.

Nova

The NEW Nova Recessed door style is featured in Java and Designer Opaque Deep Ice on maple. Recessed LED lighting accents shelves and wall cabinets. The Nova vignette includes NEW Legrabox Orion Gray drawers with white bottoms and backs, and NEW Legrabox tool-free adjustable rollout shelves.

Soho

A study in contrast, the NEW Soho Recessed door style is softened by its Twilight finish and paired with a white vanity top. This streamlined look is shown on quartersawn red oak and features NEW maple veneer drawer dividers.

Greenwich

This NEW door style takes its name from the location of the prime meridian. As such, it marks a starting point in timeless, simple design with interior organizational options. Finished in NEW Designer Opaque Platinum, Greenwich features a NEW birch drawer divider system, NEW birch deep drawer pegboard drawer inserts, NEW maple veneer adjustable partitions, a wood spice insert, 1” thick shelves and NEW tool-free adjustable rollout shelves.

Westchester

A NEW door design, Westchester features flat ledge interior detail in maple and is finished in Harbor Mist with Light glaze. Minimal detail is incorporated for a more transitional look. Design features include a two-tier cutlery tray and maple veneer drawer dividers.
