World’s thinnest large-format slab surfaces – twO by Laminam officially launches in North America at KBIS 2025
Discover new Laminam collections at booth #N2663. Limitless possibilities away.
Las Vegas, NV. (February 25, 2025) – Laminam, the global Italian leader in large-format porcelain surfaces, has officially launched its groundbreaking twO Series in North America during the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) taking place in Las Vegas from February 25-27, 2025. The world’s first and only 2mm ultra-thin large porcelain slab enables applications beyond traditional bulkier surface applications. Its remarkable flexibility allows for flat and curved applications, from wall, cabinetry, appliance and furniture cladding to inspiring new applications like light fixtures and plumbing accents.
Despite its paper-thin profile, twO delivers the same durability and performance that Laminam is known for to push the boundaries of sustainable design. Its lightweight nature allows for quicker and easier indoor and outdoor installations, even on top of existing tiles, reducing demolition and construction renovation costs.
Laminam’s twO redefines surfaces with an eco-conscious edge, combining an innovative, sustainable product and groundbreaking design possibilities. twO is composed of a mix of new and recycled natural minerals (up to 60%), using less raw materials than traditional slabs. The result is an extremely lightweight slab (1.02lb/sf) that helps reduce CO2 emissions per square foot of material when transported.
The sustainable aspects go beyond the product itself. Laminam’s approach can be associated with a circular economy model aimed at reducing energy by using electric kilns powered by a photovoltaic plat and recycling waste and water to reduce resource consumption. This is twO’s contribution to reducing the footprint throughout the entire supply chain to the end user.
twO is currently available in two collections. The Gemini Collection features beautiful neutral earth-toned colors ranging from light to dark shades. One standout from the collection is Flora Luce, a distinctive slab featuring a carefully curated palette of intricate patterns of shadowed botanical silhouettes.
Laminam’s new Slate Collection, also available in 2mm, is inspired by the natural beauty of slate rock and features five stunning colors ranging from soft creams to deep greys – combining Japanese and Scandinavian design influences, the collection offers a refined, understated aesthetic.
Multiple unconventional surface applications will be featured in Laminam’s booth #N2663, including a complete kitchen island designed by Pedini, showing off a sleek, contemporary aesthetic. Not only will the kitchen island be cladded using twO, but also the lighting fixtures and even the faucet will have porcelain elements integrated into the design.
