THOR Kitchen expands product line with first-ever induction range

Jan 19, 2020

Free-standing 30-inch range offers power,
performance and increased energy efficiency

LOS
ANGELES –
THOR
Kitchen introduces its
first-ever induction range with a 30-inch pro-style offering for home chefs.
With 4.55 cubic feet of cooking space and four induction cooking zones, the
free-standing range offers the power and performance of a traditional gas range
with faster heat-up times and increased energy efficiency. The induction
cooktop can heat water up to four minutes faster than a gas cooktop, while the
convection oven more evenly distributes heat for faster baking and roasting as
compared to a conventional oven.

“Our new 30-inch Induction Range offers homeowners
the power and performance of a top-grade gas range at an ideal size for smaller
kitchens,” said Kyle You, THOR Kitchen Managing Director. “Induction cooking
gives off less heat and helps reduce energy costs throughout the year while
still handling the most demanding cooking needs of any home chef.”

The 30-inch Induction Range is CSA
(Canadian Standards Association) certified and equipped with two oven racks, a
convection fan and oven light. The convection fan circulates air throughout the
inside of the oven, so that the heat remains consistent and distributes evenly
around the food. In addition, convection ovens cook as much as 25 percent
faster than a conventional oven.

The oven’s four cooking modes are broil,
convection bake, convection roast and convection defrost. The induction cooktop
features four cooking zones including a 3,600-watt burner on the bottom right –
which equates to over 12,000 BTU’s on a traditional gas range – as well as two
side burners totaling 2,500 watts apiece. The fourth burner heats to 1,800
watts.

Induction technology utilizes
electromagnetic fields below the glass cooktop to instantly heat only the
cookware. A residual heat indicator remains on when cookware has been removed
but the cooking zone is still warm.
