Teliris to Partner with QueX to Video-Enable the “Showroom of the Future” at KBIS

Apr 9, 2013

Teliris (www.teliris.com), a global leader in video collaboration services, today announced that they will partner with QueX at the 2013 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) April 19th to the 21st, to create the most immersive showroom experience available today using innovative partners and technologies.

KBIS introduces the Design Studio Powered by QueX which will enable visitors to experience the latest technology to enhance and personalize the customer experience in the kitchen and bath interior designer showroom.  The booth (#3352) will feature eight designers who will use the latest interactive display technologies to create state-of-the-art presentations for kitchens, baths, urban lofts and outdoor living spaces while representing a specific purchasing demographic – Millennial, GenX or Baby Boomer.  In addition, the partnership between QueX with their patented geo-location software and Teliris with their cloud-based video collaboration solutions will for the first time demonstrate how these advanced technologies can enable the optimal professional consultation and client experience across a range of disciplines involved in the design process in a way never before possible.

“We are excited to showcase how technology and innovative design can come together to address the unique needs of today’s consumers,” said Jim Scott, Managing Director, KBIS.  “In addition, our manufacturing partners can use this technology to complement physical displays and ultimately get new products into the market more efficiently while reducing costs and being more competitive.”

“QueX’s technology will allow designers to create interactive client profiles tailored specifically to the client’s product needs and requests,” said Mark Lenhart, managing partner of QueX, based in Chicago. “The KBIS Design Studio powered by QueX will demonstrate how collaboration among clients, designers, architects, builders and others can take place in real time in person or via video leveraging the Teliris video collaboration solutions.  This will create a far more productive project management and client experience end to end.  It also will allow designers to see their designs come to life in full scale before they are put into the home.”

“Teliris is excited to team with KBIS and QueX to extend the real-time user experience in the showroom of the future to anywhere in the world via our innovative cloud-based video solutions,” said Jeff Tench, Chief Marketing Officer for Teliris.  Tench added, “Teliris believes video adoption in such non-traditional environments like KBIS is overdue.”

About QueX

QueX is a Chicago based technology company, that is leveraging its core patented geo-location technology platform into an innovative retail concept called the QueX Experiential Showroom.  Using QueX’s core technology, customers will be able to create personal project profiles online allowing them to interact within a physical showroom for a more personalized shopping experience based on the combination of their physical location and online profiles.  Initial implementation is a robust, interactive product experience that will be co-located within existing appliance, kitchen & bath, or other design center showrooms.  The QueX Experiential Showcase will enable customers to have a dynamic product interaction through the integration of large electronic multi-touch display walls, virtual and augmented reality, 3D technology, for both design and product inspiration. Other key features will be the ability to collaborate in real time with architects, designers, builders and other stakeholders, using state-of-the-art video technology to improve the design and product selection process.  QueX is transforming the static sales environment by converging individual product selection online with an offline immersive sales environment, enabling brick and mortar retailers to compete against online shopping.   847-502-2185  www.quexcenter.com
