Silestone, the world leader in quartz surfacing, introduces Suede, a striking new matte finish for Silestone natural quartz surfaces. The offering expands the possibilities for kitchen and bath design, giving architects, designers and homeowners unprecedented flexibility.
Responding to an increasing demand for a refined, honed look, Suede-leather offers an exceptional, velvety surface with a distinctive design aesthetic that sets it apart from the traditional high-gloss appearance of many natural stone surfaces. The elegant surface is smooth to the touch giving the surface a softer appearance with little reflection.
Suede is currently available in Silestone’s most popular black, white, and gray hues including Black Tao, White Zeus Extreme, Cemento and Vortium, along with the entire Nebula series. The new Suede finish is ideal for countertops and backsplashes and is incredibly easy to maintain — requiring no wax or sealant to enhance its tone. Additionally, it reduces the appearance of fingerprints — a key attribute for homeowners that are active in the kitchen.
“The introduction of Suede highlights Silestone’s dedication to being the leading innovator of quartz surfacing, “ said Lorenzo Marquez, VP of Marketing for Cosentino North America. “Silestone continues to offer the widest range of colors and finishes, and can now meet the needs of architects, designers and consumers seeking the increasingly popular honed aesthetic, but that still require high-performing, durable surfaces for the kitchen and bath.”
Suede perfectly complements SIlestone’s existing finishes: the high-gloss Polished and deeply textured Volcano. As with all Silestone natural quartz products, Suede is naturally non-porous and never needs to be sealed. It is easy to clean and has high scratch, stain, and heat resistance. Silestone also is proven to be a cleaner and safer countertop. It offers a unique combination of built-in antimicrobial protection that safely fights the growth of odor-causing bacteria, mold and mildew along with the assurance of GREENGUARD certification for clean air quality, and National Sanitation Foundation certification (NSF 51) for safe food preparation.
Suede starts at $55 per square foot, depending on thickness and color. Beginning in January, the series will be available at premium kitchen and bath showrooms and specialty retailers. Silestone Quartz offers a 15-year limited manufacturer’s warranty. For more information on Silestone, visit. www.silestoneusa.com.
