With an aging population, designers and builders need to put as much thought into safety features as they put into fixtures, and creating a space that’s both safe and aesthetically pleasing can often be a challenge. Now, with decorative safety grab bars from Stone Harbor Hardware, designers, builders and consumers no longer have to sacrifice style to achieve a safe bathroom environment.
The grab bars, which coordinate with Stone Harbor’s Barrington and Charlotte bath hardware, come in 18”, 24” and 36” lengths. Both the styles are available in satin nickel (15) and vintage bronze (11P) finishes and include all necessary mounting hardware.
Like Stone Harbor’s standard safety grab bars, the new decorative grab bars are ADA compliant and will withstand 1,000 pounds of pull when properly installed.
“When most people think of grab bars, they picture the plain, industrial hardware seen in hospitals and nursing homes, and that’s not a look they want in their homes,” said Erich Russ, president of Stone Harbor Hardware. “Decorative grab bars provide the same safety features as standard grab bars – they just look better doing it.”
The decorative grab bars round out Stone Harbor’s collection of safety grab bars, which feature both smooth and knurled grab bars in various lengths from 18” to 42”. The new decorative safety grab bars will be available in March 2015.
