These shower systems have become increasingly popular due to their appealing aesthetics and ease of installation.

The HYDRO BAN Barrier Free Shower System combines existing LATICRETE products to offer a low profile shower design that is ideal for a zero entry shower. The system’s adjustable grate height also allows for a wide range of tile or stone thicknesses.

“We are seeing a trend in the industry to move towards this type of barrier free complete shower system installation,” said LATICRETE Product Manager Jay Conrad. “Our system is also ADA compliant which is a big benefit to installers.”

Through the use of just two LATICRETE products, installation of this system is easy and suitable for shower units with either bonding flange drains or linear drains. The HYDRO BAN Linear Drains and HYDRO BAN Bonding Flange Drains can be installed with 3701 Fortified Mortar to form a gentle slope into the shower for a safe, easy access or use the Pre-Sloped Shower Pan and Ramp combination to save time and money. The HYDRO BAN Linear Drain and HYDRO BAN Linear Pre-Sloped Shower Pan combination can be installed with the drain at the shower entry or the far wall, over the current substrate or recessed substrate to form a shower utilizing large format tile and stone.

Furthermore, the system is eligible for the coveted LATICRETE^® Lifetime System Warranty and is code approved per ASME A112.18-2-2005/CSA B125.2.05 (US and CN) and IAPMO Uniform ES Report #0273.
