LAMINAM PRESENTS ITS LATEST 1620X3240X12MM CERAMIC SLABS AT KBIS ORLANDO

Oct 12, 2016

LAMINAM ranks highly among the companies representing the excellence and innovation of Italian industry in the world, and is confirming this status at KBIS Orlando, one of the most highly regarded platforms for the bathroom and kitchen industry for the last 50 years, with over 500 exhibitors offering a panorama of the most innovative products, trends and technologies in this field.

The exhibition will be an opportunity to introduce the latest products in the Cava collection to the American market, with surfaces in the 1620x3240mm size and 12mm thickness expanding the natural veins of marble in an incantation of colour. Designed with horizontal surfaces in mind, such as tables or bathroom and kitchen countertops, for indoor or outdoor use, the collection has been extended with 12 new surfaces in the catalogue, starting from the pure appeal of white to the sheer elegance of black, multiplying the spectrum of options available to designers and end customers and offering an alternative to materials like marble and stone whose cost and impact on the environment is much higher.

LAMINAM is back at KBIS with a display focusing on the contrast between black&white. In the centre of the stand, two countertops in the new surfaces grab your attention straight away Cava – Noir Desir Lucidato 1620x3240mm in the 12 mm thickness with a ceramic sink and integrated hob.

In contrast, the floor and wall coverings are slabs from the I Naturali series, with the Pietra di Savoia Avorio finish in the 1000x3000mm size and 5mm thickness, a faithful reproduction of the technical features and looks of the material that inspired it, encasing the display in a candid embrace.

The space is defined by a technical perimeter featuring a selection of 8 new textures of the 1620x3240x12mm slabs, placed horizontally on “A Frame” supports in metal, the same that house them at the end of the production cycle, designed specially so they can be stacked while assuring they will not be damaged.

The new textures in the Cava Collection:
Zooming in on a natural quarried product that has all the precious features and veining just like the genuine product.
New colours: Noir Desir, Noir Desir lucidato, Nero greco, Nero greco lucidato, Orobico grigio, Orobico grigio lucidato, Bianco Lasa, Bianco Lasa lucidato, Diamonds cream, Diamonds cream lucidato, Pietra di Savoia Grigia Bocciardata, Pietra di Savoia Antracite Bocciardata.

Features:
The very nature of LAMINAM ceramic slabs makes them hygienic and extremely resistant to:
scratching and deep cuts
mould and fungi
staining, even in case of tricky substances like wine, coffee, lemon and olive oil
chemicals: acids, bases, solvents and disinfectants, which do not cause the properties of the slabs to change
UV light: the colour is not affected in case of exposure to sunlight
low or high temperatures: the material is frost proof
humidity: the slabs do not change in size

The story of Laminam is related on the stand in “LAMINAM Outlives Time”, a short film by author and director Raffaello Fusaro, screened on the vast ledwall and illustrating the technical properties of its innovative ceramic slabs.

About LAMINAM S.p.A.
Specialising in the production of large-size, minimum-thickness ceramic slabs for architecture, interiors, design and furnishings, Laminam is the first company to have fully industrialised the manufacturing process.

Laminam was founded in 2001, when engineer Franco Stefani had the idea of patenting the technology of this innovative production process and imagining how it could be used. These ceramic surfaces are produced using the cutting-edge machinery created by System Group, Laminam’s parent company. The main factory, in Fiorano Modenese, Italy has been joined by two new facilities set to triple production capacity: one in Borgotaro (Parma, Italy), dedicated entirely to 1620x3240mm size slabs, and another in Russia, located in Balabanovo, not far from Moscow, reserved exclusively for 1000x3000mm slabs.

Extremely flat, extremely light and with excellent material properties, these large-size, minimum-thickness ceramic slabs are the natural choice for applications in architecture and furnishings; with a catalogue of over 100 surfaces, LAMINAM offers a wide range of options designed to satisfy all tastes and styles, with soft, natural colours and ultra-modern, industrial, three-dimensional textures.

The company achieved a turnover of 50 million in 2015 (up 25% on the previous year), confirming the positive growth trend, with a further 25% rise forecast. It exports to Europe and North America, the Gulf States, Russia and the Far East, and its products are distributed in all 5 continents. LAMINAM boasts an extensive portfolio of projects created all over the world, and has established a number of important partnerships, in particular with the Japanese giant Toto Ltd, thanks to which LAMINAM is also able to offer the innovative photocatalytic treatment Hydrotect®, which makes the slabs self-cleaning.
