COMPAC® GOES TO KBIS 2024 WITH THE INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION OF THE GERMAN DESIGN AWARD

– This is the third international award for the Ice of Genesis™ collection created by COMPAC® in collaboration with Arik Levy.
– The judging panel highlighted the sustainability of the collection and its “fascinating designs”.

COMPAC® will exhibit for the seventh time at one of the premier events of the world exhibition calendar, the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS), to be held in Las Vegas from 27 to 29 February. At a spectacular stand located in booth N526 of the North Hall, the firm will show the Luxury Collection™ for the first time, as well as new designs from the COMPAC® Terrazzo High Performance Stone (HPS) and Obsidiana collections, the latter representing an authentic milestone in the sector, as it is produced using 100% recycled glass and is completely sustainable throughout its life cycle.
The firm comes to this edition having received international acclaim for its Ice of Genesis™ collection, which has been awarded one of the distinctions of the 2024 edition of the German Design Awards. COMPAC’s most avant garde creation, developed in collaboration with artist Arik Levy, was a Winner for Excellent Product Design in the Material and Surfaces category.

Recognized in the sector for its expressiveness, Ice of Genesis™ garnered unanimous praise from the international judging panel, made up of experts from the industry and the academic and design worlds, who highlighted its “fascinating designs”, as well as its sustainable production details. In this sense, the Ice of Genesis™ series helps care for the planet, as it is made sustainably using 100% renewable energy sources, reusing 98% of the water, and utilizing high-tech BIOResins.

The design of Ice of Genesis™ gives the sensation of walking on frozen lakes in an Arctic landscape, with veins that add a dramatic effect of depth. The collection has recently incorporated new finishes: Ice Viola™, Ice Ink™, Ice Green™, and Ice Gold™, which join the classic Ice Black™ and Ice White™.

This German Design Award takes its place alongside the prestigious iF Design Award, considered one of the world’s most important industrial design awards, received in 2023, and the RED DOT Best of the Best award 2022, whose judging panel highlighted that this collection “fascinates with its radiant visual appeal and the independence of its design”.
