SUMMIT APPLIANCE INTRODUCES BARRIER-FREE MODULAR KITCHENS FOR ACCESSIBLE LIVING
Easy Installation With Complete Cabinetry, Countertops, and Appliances Guaranteed to Fit

Bronx, NY, December 5th, 2025—As the industry leaders in ADA compliant refrigeration, Summit Appliance is expanding their catalog to include complete kitchens for barrier-free living. Summit, a division of Felix Storch, Inc. (FSI), is combining accessible appliances with cabinetry, countertops, and sinks to offer a full package for senior living, in-law suites, public accommodations, and other living spaces.

Summit has been manufacturing ADA height appliances for over twenty years, designing refrigerators, freezers, icemakers, dishwashers, and even kegerators to fit under lower 34” high counters. Their accessible product line includes cooktops with upfront ADA compliant controls and safety timers, as well as laundry and full-sized refrigeration designed for users with limited mobility.

Earlier this year, Summit launched their Turnkey Kitchen collection, featuring fully assembled cabinetry with pre-installed appliances that created complete kitchen or home bar setups in one piece. The line is set to expand with a new Fully Modular Integrated Kitchen series, which allows more user customization for full-sized kitchens. The barrier-free collection offers similar functionality but is specially designed to meet building codes for user accessibility in public buildings.

“We’re extremely proud of the success we’re seeing with our Turnkey Kitchens, and the natural expansion was to make this line universally accessible,” says Paul Storch, President of FSI. “From the sink to the range hood switch, we’re committed to crafting kitchens where every detail fosters free movement and independent living.”

Some of those touches include lower height counters, unobstructed sinkS with knee space for wheelchair users, and upfront, accessible controls on all cooking appliances. Summit’s barrier-free line is designed to comply with California Building Code, Chapter 11B. Cabinetry will be available in four styles: white shaker, white slab, navy slab, and dust brown slab with a wood grain. Customers and designers can choose from a variety of countertop finishes, handle and pull styles, as well as hundreds of ADA compliant appliances, including refrigerators, dishwashers, ranges or cooktops, hoods, and laundry sets. Cabinetry ships fully assembled to ensure minimum setup time and cost.

Summit will be debuting the new lineup this February in Orlando at KBIS 2026, Booth W1085. For more information, visit summitappliance.com or contact the company’s design specialists at 718-893-3900.
