Premium German Brand Receives Honorable Distinction 7th Year in a Row
Miami, FL – January 2017 – Liebherr Appliances is proud to announce that three of its units have earned the coveted ENERGY STAR® ‘Most Efficient 2017’ designation. Notably, this is the seventh year in a row that various Liebherr models have received this honorable distinction.
The ENERGY STAR® ‘Most Efficient’ designation is an initiative of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), designed to raise the profile of the highest energy-efficient products in their categories among those that have earned the ENERGY STAR® label. The ‘Most Efficient’ recognition continues ENERGY STAR®’s work to help North American consumers reduce their utility bills, while helping to protect the environment.

The three Liebherr refrigerator/freezer units to qualify for ENERGY STAR® ‘Most Efficient 2017’ are the stylish 36” Freestanding/Semi built-in, CS 2060, CS 2061 and CBS 2062 models. These sophisticated models have an elegant stainless steel finish, and versatile cabinet-depth design, allowing for a built-in look.
Additional energy efficient features and performance benefits include:
- Our state-of-the art DuoCooling refrigeration system that allows the cooling and freezing compartments to be accurately controlled independent of each other. Creating optimum cooling conditions in both compartments means that food will be kept fresher longer.
- Two variable speed compressors controlled by advanced electronics that are always operating at optimal capacity, ensuring maximum food preservation with minimum energy usage.
- Combined with soft-start technology, variable speed compressors offer quiet operation and minimal electrical ‘surge’ at start-up.
- LED lighting in both compartments uses less energy than conventional appliance lighting. In addition, in won’t heat up what you’re trying to cool down.
- A ‘Door Ajar’ alarm ensures doors aren’t left open, stopping cool air form escaping and reducing wasted energy.
- Frost-safe bins in the freezer trap in cold air even when the freezer door is open.
