Harnessing Vyv’s LED technology, an isolated portion of the visible light spectrum (400-420nm) is utilized to create a pleasant, purplish-blue light that provides 24/7 protection to help keep garbage disposals clean and prevent buildup on the sink’s baffle by killing common germs including odor-causing bacteria while also inhibiting mold growth*.
As part of the 2026 KBIS show, InSinkErator is featuring two configurations / models of the new garbage disposals and a state-of-the-art sink flange, both utilizing the new LEDefense technology.
