Globally renowned thermally fused panel and laminate manufacturer is thinking differently to better support architects, designers, manufacturers and craftsmen.
Lexington, N.C. – On the heels of breaking ground for its first North American production plant, EGGER is set to introduce its dynamic product portfolio at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Las Vegas. The company is a global leader and full-range supplier of wood-based materials for the furniture and interior design industry. EGGER, a family-owned business, is committed to a multifaceted approach to thinking differently — delivering solutions for beautiful designs with excellent performance features, shortening local and global supply chains, and offering solutions that can reduce costs and time-to-market.
“We are giving our customers the opportunity to enhance and refresh their ideas, differentiate their product offerings and to think differently with us,” said Mario Bobsin, Chief Sales Officer, Lexington Plant, EGGER.
In its production plant in North Carolina, which is set to open in 2020, EGGER will manufacture raw particleboard and thermally fused laminate (TFL) panels to perfectly match its extensive laminate and edge banding décor range. “With more than 50 years of global experience, we at EGGER are passionate about bringing the beauty of our wood-based solutions to life and delivering what the architects, designers and fabricators of tomorrow need when it comes to aesthetics, functionality and support,” added Bobsin.
From modern classics inspired by European design to staple monochromatic palettes, the products making their KBIS debut include the following:
Thermally Fused Laminate (TFL): TFL takes shape as the true foundation for today’s kitchens and baths. As a pre-bonded panel, it does not require further fabrication work other than cutting and edging — making it efficient to process. The innovative, wood-based solution is scratch-resistant, low-maintenance, fade-resistant, durable and hard-wearing.
Feelwood: Reproduce the visual texture, tactile texture and beauty of wood, without some of wood’s drawbacks, with Feelwood. The embossed-in-register (EIR) finishes provide an authentic look — indistinguishable from veneers and solid wood — with unmatched lightfast and durable qualities.
Edging: Designed to cover the exposed edges of wood-based panels, EGGER’s edging offers a sleek yet robust decorative finish for interiors. Designers can select from hundreds of décors, across a variety of different materials, and perfectly match the edging to a panel’s color and texture for a seamless look. Also, turn edging into a unique design feature with a range of EGGER’s available accent edges.
PerfectSense: Inviting exclusivity and luxury, PerfectSense premium lacquered boards will add a touch of sophistication to private and public spaces, including kitchens, bathrooms and sliding door elements. PerfectSense Matt (PM) is a low-sheen matte surface with a unique fingerprint-resistant finish. A matching laminate, Topmatt is also available for areas such as tabletops that require extra durability. PerfectSense Gloss (PG) takes shape in an exceptionally smooth and three-dimensional reflective surface. Due to the Calendar Coating Inert (CCI) ultraviolet (UV) coating technology, PerfectSense clearly stands out from conventional lacquered boards because of its durability.
